Loved your perspective. I think what I have come to expect from Hov, sad to say, is exactly what he put out. I mean, it’s a good album but Reasonable Doubt – it is NOT. There were about 3 songs I could do without, but there are some noteworthy tracks on it. For me, it’s passable enough to really like, but not mind blowing to freak out over.

I’m still going to cop it though…lol

If it hadn’t been for that random Amazon search I too would have been out of the loop on that one and I was still out of the loop until your friend and mine, Vivrant_Thang brought it back to my attention. As I told Trel, I’m gonna give that track more run now too.

@Auntie Trel – I’m just glad you even asked me to be involved. This was a great post to write and it allowed me to not only partake in some great music but speak to very talented person and artist.

I’ll take listening to “After Party” on larger speakers under advisement as well. Who knows, it may grow on me a little more that way.

Once again, the pleasure was all mine and please keep me in mine for anything in the future with V or any other artist you deem worthy to assist with your many talents.

Well done! The Paradox is a collection of songs that take you on a journey if you allow your mind to travel. “The After Party” is not too far left if you do your research and reach back into V’s treasure chest of released gems (I’m still discovering myself and enjoying the ‘revelation’ – no pun intended :)

We just came out of Springfield, MA where V performed as part of the Organix Soul showcase. The After Party was played at ‘the after party’ and to hear that in a club setting, being chopped up by a dj, at full volume was absolutely crazy.

Great review…I wasn’t familiar with T.R.I.N.T before hearing the Paradox, but I too had heard great things from Trelly and Vivrant Thang (amongst others).

I agree on 1st listen ‘The After Party’ stood out as a bit of an oddity (and i’ll be honest I still skip it sometimes) but I can see why it was included, and the rest of the album more than makes up for it!

@Veronica – I’m glad you feel this is the best one you have read so far. I read those other ones as well, not to copy or imitate but just to see if my take on Nicholas the artist but also Nicholas the person was well represented. The latter seemed to be missing and it gave me the direction I needed. As you said Nicholas is an extrodinary guy and his music reflects that. I’m just glad I got to contribute in some fashion.
